While it's well-known for its success in treating trauma, EMDR is also a powerful tool in bridging the gap between knowing and feeling.

EMDR uses calming techniques to help you approach triggers without being overwhelmed by them. You'll work through memories that have led to trauma or negative beliefs about yourself and the world.

 

EMDR has been shown to work faster than traditional talk therapy and to be more comfortable for trauma treatment.

 

EMDR looks very different from talk therapy, using your body and mind's ability to heal itself with a bit of help. You won't be asked to talk through your difficult memories. In fact, if you don't want me to know what you're processing, that's absolutely okay. We can use a technique that's called "blind-to-therapist" where you only tell me what you're comfortable with.
